For the first time, Li Tianque felt from the bottom of his heart that the limits of the human body seemed unfathomable.

Despite sustaining such severe injuries, Brother Tatar was still able to wield a chainsaw and launch such a fierce attack. To an outsider, this was simply unbelievable.

The roaring chainsaw charged toward Achu like a howling, enraged dragon.

At such close range and with so vicious an attack, Li Tianque did not believe anyone could evade it.

Yet Achu’s reaction was even more astonishing.

She clenched her five fingers, and the metal wire in her hand rapidly tightened.

Next, Achu directly grabbed a piece of the metal framework that had just been severed by the chainsaw and held it in front of her.

In an instant, sparks flew everywhere, and the metal frame was instantly split in two.

Although Achu’s defense failed to withstand the terrifying destructive power of the chainsaw, she used offense as defense. While raising the metal frame to block, she had already projected two gleaming, sharp shadows.

These two flashes pierced straight through Brother Tatar’s shoulders, and he let out a bizarre, haunting cry, sounding much like an asthma patient gasping for their final breath.

The chainsaw in Brother Tatar’s hand slipped from his grip and dropped to the ground. Evidently, the spots where Achu’s attack landed instantly imposed a powerful restrictive effect on both of his arms.

The chain of the chainsaw was spinning rapidly on the ground, sending gravel and sparks flying in all directions.

Achu stretched out her arms and pulled out the metal wire once again. Like a noodle master at a hot pot restaurant pulling lamian, she whipped the metal wire directly forward.

Brother Tatar had no energy left to dodge, and the metal wire securely looped around his neck.

Although Brother Tatar used his hand to block a portion of the metal wire at the crucial moment, this meager strength was merely like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

Achu pulled backward with all her might, tightening the metal wire.

A moment later, blood began to seep from the thick calluses on her palms.

It seemed that the struggle of Brother Tatar in his death throes possessed an unbelievable amount of force.

Tugging on the metal wire, Achu said to Li Tianque, "Come over and help me hold this!"

Hesitating inwardly, Li Tianque quickly hurried to Achu’s side. He wrapped the metal wire around his outdoor flashlight and then gripped it tightly in his hands.

Lacking the thick calluses that Achu possessed on her hands, he naturally did not dare to pull the metal wire with his bare hands.

"Li Tianque... I’m going to kill you... Damn it..."

Struggling relentlessly, Brother Tatar roared with extreme misery, his bloodshot eyes seeming almost ready to spit fire.

Slowly approaching the man, Achu said in an ethereal voice, "Stop. It is already tight enough. If you struggle even a little more, your neck will be instantly severed by the metal wire."

Having suffered heavy injuries, Brother Tatar had personally experienced the terrifying nature of the metal wire.

The anger and frenzy on his face had not yet faded, but aside from continuing to howl wildly, he no longer dared to make any reckless movements.

This was because the metal wire around his neck was already making it difficult for him to breathe, and bloodstains were beginning to seep through the surface of his skin.

Seeing that Brother Tatar had ceased his resistance, Achu walked right up to him and pulled out the knife that Li Tianque had thrown earlier.

"What do you want to do? He no longer has the capacity to resist..." Li Tianque wanted to make one last attempt to stop her.

After all, Brother Tatar was somewhat of an internet celebrity. If he were to inexplicably vanish, the company would likely find it very difficult to gloss over the situation.

"He needs me to grant him release," Achu said in an icy tone.

"You... you, you bastard! Let me go and let me kill him, or else all of us will die here!" Brother Tatar was still roaring wildly, though he seemed to have regained a sliver of sanity at this moment.

"Are you sure you don't want to question him?" Li Tianque asked again.

Achu did not answer.

Unease gripped Li Tianque's heart; he thoroughly disliked the feeling of being kept in the dark.

He now felt that this trip to the grassland was nothing more than a conspiracy, and he was merely an insignificant pawn within it.

He seemed to lack the ability to influence the game of chess, forced instead to move helplessly along with the shifting circumstances according to the will of others.

Yet, he had no intention of drifting and sinking along with this game of chess.

The conviction in Li Tianque's heart grew even firmer: he had to find a way to break free from Achu's control and figure out what on earth was happening here.

"You can't defeat it. Even the wolf king of the grassland couldn't defeat it, and you are even less of a match. Kill Li Tianque now, and everything will still be in time! Hurry up and kill him..." Brother Tatar roared frantically.

Li Tianque frowned in deep thought. Although he still could not figure out why Brother Tatar was so dead set on killing him.

It was not hard to glean from his and Achu's words that a third person existed here—and it seemed precisely this fellow who had ordered Brother Tatar to kill him at all costs!

Paying no heed to Brother Tatar's words, Achu drifted over to Li Tianque's side, grasped the hilt of the knife with her right hand, and pulled it out without the slightest hesitation.

As the blade was withdrawn, blood gushed out in streams, flowing down along Brother Tatar's neck.

With a final roar, Brother Tatar passed out.

Picking up the flashlight to inspect closely, Achu confirmed that Brother Tatar had fallen unconscious and signaled to Li Tianque that he could let go.

Next, Achu produced a metal wire and tightly bound Brother Tatar's hands and feet, leaving him lying flat on the ground.

Achu handed the flashlight to Li Tianque so he could provide illumination.

Li Tianque immediately took it, turning into a human-shaped floor lamp.

Finally, Li Tianque was able to examine the bizarre glass box strapped to Brother Tatar's body up close.

Rather than being tied on, the box looked as though it had grown directly out of Brother Tatar's body.

Because no fastening objects could be discerned around the box; it appeared precisely as if this glass box had emerged out of thin air directly from within Brother Tatar's body, a notion made all the more fitting by the bright red blood inside the glass container.

By the piercing light, Li Tianque discovered that the interior of the glass box was filled entirely with blurred flesh and blood, alongside torn visceral tissues.

The scene before his eyes involuntarily reminded Li Tianque of plots from Western horror films; perhaps only when unknown, bizarre creatures burrowed into the human body could they leave behind such a messy and gruesome spectacle.

"What is going on with that glass box?" Li Tianque asked, perplexed.

"Something burrowed inside," Achu replied coldly.

"Was there a living creature inside this box previously?" Li Tianque pressed on.

Achu touched the blood-stained glass box with her hand and said in a haunting tone, "The material of this box is a special kind of glass. After being melted and cast at high temperatures, this type of glass can bond firmly with the human body, making it impossible to separate by external force no matter what—unless you cut away the flesh and skin.

Right after the box was cast, it was immediately slammed onto his body."

This was the most Achu had ever spoken in one go, yet it chilled Li Tianque to the bone.

"Even so, wouldn't he at most just get burned? Why is his stomach rotting like this now? It's simply as if some ferocious beast had hollowed out his intestines!" Li Tianque exclaimed in astonishment.

Achu slowly pressed her pale hands against both sides of the box and said in a deep voice, "First, a few live mice were placed on his belly, and then the freshly cast box was clapped down over them.

Unable to withstand the high temperature trapped inside the box, the mice, in order to escape, would instinctively dig holes into his body and then burrow inside."

As Achu calmly recounted the process, Li Tianque felt his hair stand on end.

No wonder he had heard the squeaking of mice several times earlier; Li Tianque had thought it was just his imagination.

Judging by this, those mice must have already burrowed deep into Brother Tatar's stomach!

No wonder he had suffered such frantic agony!
