Chapter Twelve: The Pet Summoning Doll
“Thud!”
Watching several teeth scatter and the kidnapper’s head swell from the blow, Haruaki Suzuki instinctively swallowed hard.
No wonder Shinichi Kudo, after shrinking, never dared reveal his identity to Ran Mouri—he might really have been beaten to death.
“Don’t be afraid, miss, we’re here to rescue you.” Coming back to his senses, Haruaki dashed toward the bound little girl, tore off the tape from her mouth, and helped untie her ropes.
“Ding! Congratulations on signing in, Akiko Tani. Reward: one [Pet Summoning Doll], available for immediate claim by the host.”

After reviewing the new equipment’s attributes, a slight smile crept onto Haruaki’s lips.
With the Pet Summoning Doll and the passive effect of the “Riding” skill, Haruaki Suzuki could now become a formidable “Dog Knight.”
“Woof, woof, woof…”
“Big Guy, you came to save me~” Akiko Tani, who had been scared moments before, burst into laughter and hugged the Doberman that leapt toward her.
Kogoro Mouri, standing beside the unconscious kidnapper, kicked him a few times and laughed triumphantly, “The damn criminal is finally caught! As expected, with me Kogoro Mouri around, there’s no case I can’t solve, hahaha…”
“It’s such a relief that no one was hurt.” Kind-hearted Ran Mouri smiled genuinely upon seeing Akiko safe and sound.
Once the disfigured kidnapper was taken away by the police, this kidnapping case finally came to a close, and the rescued Akiko was safely returned home.

“I’m truly sorry for causing all this trouble. Actually, I was the one who planned the kidnapping from the start,” Akiko Tani said pitifully, bowing to everyone. “Because my father is always busy with work and never pays any attention to me, I asked butler Masao to help stage this kidnapping. I thought if my dad’s company took a break, he could take me out to play.”
“Akiko…”
Hearing this, Fujiya Tani couldn’t help but blame himself.
Since his wife passed away, he had thrown himself into his work, neglecting his daughter’s feelings over the years.
Before, he hadn’t realized just how much he’d ignored her, but when she was taken by kidnappers, it finally hit him—what use was all the money he earned if something happened to his daughter?
His expression stiffened. “No matter if it’s my own daughter, you still can’t do this. What you did is unforgivable. Isn’t that right, Masao?”
“I’m deeply sorry, sir,” the butler Masao said, remorse written all over his face, already preparing himself for dismissal or even imprisonment.
Though he had only helped at Akiko’s request to stage the fake kidnapping, nearly endangering her, he had been completely derelict in his duties as a butler.
Fujiya Tani’s tone shifted. “To punish you for this mistake, you will plan a week-long trip starting tomorrow—to Australia, the place Akiko wants to visit most!”
“Ah?”
Masao was momentarily stunned but quickly smiled and responded, “Yes, sir!”
“Of course, I’ll temporarily set aside company work and go on the trip with Akiko.”
“That’s wonderful! Akiko loves her dad so much~”
“Hahaha…”
Seeing this warm reunion between father and daughter, Haruaki Suzuki and Ran Mouri exchanged knowing smiles.
Meanwhile, Kogoro Mouri silently calculated how to spend the two million yen fee he had just earned, his face breaking into a happy grin as well.
“Mr. Mouri, thank you so much for your help. Tomorrow I’ll have someone transfer the fee to your account,” Fujiya Tani said sincerely as he carried Akiko toward Kogoro.
“No problem, no problem, no rush. You’re too kind! Now that the young lady has safely returned, we’ll take our leave,” Kogoro said politely, barely restraining a grin as he left with Haruaki and the others.
Once inside the taxi bound for the detective agency, Haruaki feigned exhaustion, lying against Ran’s shoulder while secretly checking his character status panel.
[Name: Haruaki Suzuki
Strength: 3 (+5)
Speed: 7 (+5)
Stamina: 9
Spirit: 12
Skills: Golden Rule, Money Power, Mastered Karate, Riding, Abnormal Resistance
Equipment: Pet Summoning Doll, Versatile Child’s Outfit
Items: Storage Ring, Longevity Potion (1 year), Servant Contract]
Compared to the status panel when the system first activated last night, Haruaki’s power had greatly increased.
Though his strength and speed still lagged behind that of an adult male, when he used his mastered Karate skill in combat, those attributes surged dramatically.
Having mastered advanced Karate techniques, Haruaki was now proficient in various fighting skills, and with his temporarily boosted stats during battle, he could likely defeat two or three average adult men without much trouble.
Beyond his own fighting prowess, he was also intrigued by the Pet Summoning Doll.
According to its attributes, although it only summoned temporary pet dogs to assist, they were formidable combat partners.
Especially since it only cost ten spirit points to summon a fully grown Pitbull—this could significantly boost Haruaki’s fighting ability.
It’s important to note that Pitbulls are bred fighting dogs, known for their pain tolerance and ability to single-handedly take down weaker prairie wolves.
The only drawback was that Haruaki currently had only twelve spirit points.
If he spent ten points to summon the Pitbull, he wouldn’t be able to summon a second pet dog.
While Huskies weren’t as powerful as Pitbulls, each required only five spirit points, allowing him to summon two Huskies simultaneously.
