Chapter 57: The Invisible Tent
After leaving the honey territory, Qinchuan spent an hour before finally finding Shangguan Ruoyun.
Seeing that Qinchuan had truly found her, she was immensely curious about the method he had used.
"You've killed another Bronze-grade monster!"
Looking at the adorable Qinchuan, Shangguan Ruoyun could not help but wonder how such a small body could possibly unleash such terrifying strength.
Every single time, he brought her unexpected surprises and amazement.
This instance was even more so; the sight of him controlling swords to slaughter tens of thousands of bees with a single wave left her completely dumbfounded.
And yet, that was only the beginning. He had then proceeded directly to the bees' lair, butchered a three-star Bronze-quality monster, and incidentally acquired two kinds of resources. Such strength and such luck were truly unmatched.
"Just a little bug, nothing special."
Qinchuan produced a glob of honey and said, "Sister Shangguan, hurry and taste this. Eating it is beneficial for you."
"Such fragrant honey."
As soon as the honey was brought out, Shangguan Ruoyun caught its scent. Gazing at the golden honey, her appetite was immensely stimulated, and she said, "Qinchuan, thank you."
Apart from expressing her gratitude, she genuinely did not know what else to say.
"Eat up, Sister Shangguan." Qinchuan dismissed it indifferently.
"Wuwuwu~~~"
Shen-Gongbao whimpered weakly from the side. Why was there none for it? Could it be that Qinchuan had never intended to give it any?
"Take it, take it."
Qinchuan casually tossed a portion over to Shen-Gongbao, which made the leopard overjoyed—it had wronged Qinchuan after all.
However, why was its portion so small?
As a loyal leopard, it would eat whatever amount its master bestowed upon it.
"So delicious!"
The human and the leopard ate with great delight, and a powerful fluctuation of spiritual energy quickly surged within their bodies.
"Sister Shangguan, hurry up and circulate your cultivation method," Qinchuan quickly reminded her.
Feeling the spiritual energy within her body, Shangguan Ruoyun knew this honey was extraordinary and brimming with potent spiritual energy. She immediately sat cross-legged, practicing the cultivation technique given by Qinchuan, and began refining the surging spiritual energy inside her.
As for Shen-Gongbao, things were much simpler; a good sleep would suffice.
This was the advantage of spirit beasts. They did not need to cultivate like humans; they only needed to sleep soundly and wait for their bodies to evolve naturally.
The spiritual energy within the forbidden zone was quite remarkable. Qinchuan could sense that the further they traveled in this direction, the denser the spiritual energy became, and the more numerous and powerful the encountered monsters would be.

"Two draws remaining."
With some spare time on his hands, Qinchuan finally had the leisure to draw his rewards.
He checked the available rewards: one ordinary three-star draw, and one reward for slaying the Bronze-grade Purple-Gold Queen Bee. Naturally, the Bronze-grade draw held much better value.
Although onlookers could not see the interface of Qinchuan's draws, they were well aware that he was currently drawing prizes.
"I'm so curious about what good things Qinchuan can pull."
"It doesn't really matter whether he gets good things or not anymore, considering how strong he already is."
"I haven't seen any monster capable of laying a hand on him; Qinchuan genuinely doesn't lack anything right now."
"You can never have too many skills. Several foreigners have drawn supernatural abilities, and Qinchuan also pulled a spell. I hope he can acquire another powerful skill to keep up his sleeve."
"Doesn't Qinchuan already have plenty of skills? Sword control, divine thunder incantation, and that fire-control trick. I reckon Qinchuan still has many techniques he hasn't even displayed yet. We don't need to worry about his arsenal."
......
He decided to consume the ordinary draw first.
A dozen identically sized packages appeared before him, and Qinchuan randomly selected one.
[Congratulations on obtaining an Invisible Tent.]
An invisible tent?
Qinchuan blinked in surprise. What sort of gadget was this?
He saw a handbag-like object materialize before him. Upon opening it, relevant information and instructions regarding the invisible tent flooded into his mind.
"So it's this kind of item."
The invisible tent was a high-tech product. Once deployed, it could render itself completely concealed unless someone physically touched it or possessed a very special ability to detect it.
This invisible tent was by no means simple; its utility was extremely powerful, and its interior space was quite spacious. It could expand up to ten meters, making it a freely adjustable tent.
As for the interior, it came equipped with numerous functions. In short, they would no longer need to sleep exposed to the wind and dew in the wilderness.
"Not bad at all."
Qinchuan was quite satisfied and planned to check it out when night fell.
"Time for the Bronze draw."
Qinchuan initiated the draw once more. For the Bronze-tier draw, the packages emanated a bronze glow, and each package flashed with three stars, indicating a three-star Bronze-grade reward.
Qinchuan selected the first package, and a flash of bronze light swept across.
[Congratulations on obtaining the Three-Star Luminous Battle Armor.]
***
"It's a piece of equipment." Qinchuan looked at the battle armor that had materialized before him. It weighed over a hundred pounds; for an ordinary person, simply wearing it would be a major challenge, let alone fighting in it.
Knowledge regarding how to utilize this battle armor also surfaced in Qinchuan's mind. To his surprise, this armor functioned just like a spiritual artifact—it could be controlled via mental intent and could freely manifest within and cover his body.
"This is basically a low-grade spiritual artifact." Qinchuan concluded.
"I have no use for it, though."
Qinchuan realized that he had no use for this set of armor whatsoever.
Although the armor could be minutely adjusted, he currently possessed the body of a four-year-old child, creating far too vast a gap with armor meant to be worn by an adult.
"I might as well give it to Sister Shangguan." Qinchuan quickly decided the ultimate destiny of the armor.
Once the two draws were completed, Qinchuan also settled down into a cross-legged position to cultivate.
"What good stuff did Qinchuan get? How frustrating that we can't even see it."
"As much as we want to know, if Qinchuan doesn't say, we can only guess blindly."
"Judging by Qinchuan's expression, he didn't seem all that impressed."
"Since Qinchuan is so strong, he must have plenty of incredible items of his own. Of course he would look down on these ordinary things."
"Qinchuan has started cultivating as well."
......
Two hours later, Shangguan Ruoyun was the first to wake from her cultivation. Sensing the state of her body, she discovered she had grown even stronger than before.
"The forbidden zone truly is a mysterious place," Shangguan Ruoyun mused to herself.
"You're awake," Qinchuan said, snapping out of his meditative state as well.
"Mhm." Shangguan Ruoyun glanced at Shen-Gongbao and remarked, "Its aura has grown so intense. Is it about to advance again?"
"It was already lingering on the verge of a breakthrough, and coupled with the honey essence, a breakthrough was well within expectations."
Qinchuan had long since calculated the timing of Shen-Gongbao's breakthrough. The leopard's strength was simply too low; when facing formidable monsters, it would only serve as a liability.
"Doesn't that mean Shen-Gongbao is about to break through to three-star? That's wonderful."
Shen-Gongbao was their companion; as it grew stronger, the two of them would be all the safer.
"It's only ordinary three-star. If we want it to possess formidable combat prowess, we'll still need to find a three-star Bronze beast core."
Qinchuan produced the beast core of the Purple-Gold Queen Bee; a single core was not yet enough to propel Shen-Gongbao fully into the Bronze tier.
