Chapter 6: Riding a Horse
Qin Chuan followed the source, but the forest was so dense that as soon as he entered the thicket, he immediately vanished from everyone’s sight—he was simply too small.
“Where did he go?”
“The grass is way too tall.”
“Why does the live footage look so fast-paced?”
“How is this little brat moving so quickly?”
“Could he be crawling through the jungle every day?”
“That’s really dangerous; there are many unknown things in the jungle.”
Though it was difficult to spot Qin Chuan, judging by the rustling grass and the live feed, his speed wasn’t affected at all by the dense undergrowth.
Viewers speculated that his small stature was what allowed him to navigate the jungle with such ease.
Before long, they finally saw the long-awaited scene: Qin Chuan emerged safely from the jungle, covered with just a few strands of wild grass but otherwise unscathed, which astonished many.
“You probably don’t know, but others have entered the grass and came out covered in pustules—terrifying stuff.”
“Maybe Qin Chuan’s lucky; this patch of grass might not be hazardous.”
“Perhaps so.”
“Fortune really does favor the lucky ones.”
“But now he’s heading toward danger; he might not survive long.”
Everyone fell silent. The forbidden zone was cut off from the outside world; they could watch but not communicate. The weight in their hearts was unbearable.
Having crawled out of the thicket, Qin Chuan intended to move forward, but his keen hearing quickly caught something—he was being watched.
“What’s that?”
Behind him, the jungle shook violently for a moment, then the disturbance ceased.
But as Qin Chuan paused, the thicket behind him trembled again. Something was advancing toward him—a monster had locked onto him.
The jungle shook rapidly, and a dark shadow leapt forward, landing before Qin Chuan with bared teeth and a fierce glare.
Everyone’s hearts trembled at the sight of the terrifying beast on the live screen; it was as if they were witnessing it firsthand.
It was a black panther, about one and a half meters tall, terrifyingly fierce.
Its mouth was filled with sharp fangs, and everyone believed that a single bite would shatter Qin Chuan to pieces.
A roar erupted from the panther, majestic and earth-shaking, frightening some timid viewers in the live room nearly to the point of losing control.
“Qin Chuan, run!”
“Run? Humans are no match for a panther!”
“Not running means becoming its snack!”
“Maybe the panther isn’t interested in such a small kid.”
“Are you blind? The panther is clearly targeting the little brat. To a predator, it doesn’t matter who you are.”
...
At that moment, a monster profile card appeared on the live feed. Everyone clicked to read:
Monster Name: Shadow Panther
Strength Rating: One Star
Talent: Speed
Note: Monsters in the forbidden zone are rated from one to ten stars.
“This is a one-star monster, the Shadow Panther. How terrifying must the ten-star monsters be?”
“I think I just saw the Shadow Panther biting Qin Chuan in half already.”
BingbingI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
