Chapter 38: Xiao Se’s Divine Kick
"Let's go. I'll help you fight our way out." Xiao Se tilted his chin toward the door. Outside, two guards from the Myriad Herb Pavilion stood firmly in their path.
With a light chuckle and a shake of her head, the Little Fairy Doctor replied, "Don't worry, I haven't been idle. When that old man surnamed Yao came yesterday to hint that I should hand over that so-called Profound-tier cultivation technique, I invited him to have a cup of tea."
Xiao Se’s eyes lit up. "You poisoned that old bastard?"
"Mhm. It’s a chronic poison from the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture. It’s extremely difficult to detect. If he doesn't get the antidote within a month, even a Dou Shi expert would perish." As she tucked the last jade vial into her storage ring, the Little Fairy Doctor smiled.
"It seems that old bastard is in for a world of trouble. It’s truly pitiful for him to have offended a little poison girl like you," Xiao Se remarked with a sigh.
"What did you say?" Hearing Xiao Se call her a 'little poison girl,' the Little Fairy Doctor raised her beautiful eyes and shot him a sharp glare.
"Nothing, nothing at all. Let's head out." He opened the door and gestured for her to proceed.
"That's more like it." Seeing Xiao Se back down, the Little Fairy Doctor nodded in satisfaction and stepped out.
The two guards outside the door saw the Little Fairy Doctor emerging with a strange young man. They exchanged glances and reached out to block their path.
One of the guards said coldly, "Without the Master's orders, the Little Fairy Doctor is not allowed to take a single step out of this room."

"As for that kid behind her, if you know what's good for you, leave now and don't bring trouble upon yourself," the other guard added indifferently.
Many people in Green Mountain Town had received kindness from the Little Fairy Doctor. They assumed Xiao Se was just another hot-blooded youth who had been helped by her and was now feeling emboldened to play the hero saving the beauty.
"Heh, I am merely a physician hired by Mr. Yao. I didn't sign a slave contract with him; he has no say in where I go," the Little Fairy Doctor sneered, her red lips curling.
"That doesn't matter. The Myriad Herb Pavilion is the Master's territory. Everyone here must answer to him."
"You—" Just as the Little Fairy Doctor was about to lose her temper, Xiao Se’s voice sounded from behind her. "Little Fairy Doctor, reasoning with them won't work. Leave it to me."
"Mhm." Upon hearing this, the Little Fairy Doctor nodded slightly and stepped behind him.
Xiao Se slowly walked between the two guards. He didn't say a word, his lips curling into a strange, menacing arc.
In a few swift moves, he knocked the guards unconscious.
They pressed forward, unstoppable.
At the entrance of the estate, Xiao Se and the Little Fairy Doctor ran straight into Mr. Yao, who had just returned to the Myriad Herb Pavilion.
Mr. Yao looked at Xiao Se, then at the Little Fairy Doctor, and finally let his gaze fall upon the terrified guards at his side. He roared, "What are you standing there for? Capture the Little Fairy Doctor! Don't let them get away!"

However, having witnessed Xiao Se’s prowess, the guards who usually obeyed him without question were now too terrified to move.
Seeing no one respond to his command, Mr. Yao realized something was wrong. He turned to the Little Fairy Doctor with a forced, oily smile. "Little Fairy Doctor, where are you planning to go? Why leave without even notifying me?"
The Little Fairy Doctor sneered. She stepped to Xiao Se’s side and whispered, "Be careful. This Mr. Yao is a one-star Dou Shi. Even Mu She, the leader of the Wolf Head Mercenary Corps, doesn't dare provoke him easily. Watch me."
Xiao Se nodded slightly and remained silent.
The Little Fairy Doctor slowly stepped in front of Xiao Se and said calmly, "Now that things have come to this, Mr. Yao, there is no need to keep up the charade. Instead of acting, why don't you check your left elbow? See if there is a bruise about half a foot long."
Mr. Yao’s heart tightened. He rolled up his sleeve and saw the bruise. His eyes filled with rage as he pointed at her, "You actually poisoned me?"
"Heh, Mr. Yao, my tea isn't so easy to drink. In another month, the bruising will spread to your heart. At that point, death is certain. Of course, you could always choose to cut off that arm now," the Little Fairy Doctor said with a calm, light laugh.
Her soft voice echoed in Mr. Yao’s ears. Although it was nearly evening and the air remained sweltering, Mr. Yao felt as if he had fallen into an icy abyss. He never imagined that the usually gentle and lovely Little Fairy Doctor could be so calculating.
