Chapter Thirteen: The Dizziness Strikes Yi Zhonghai

Wang Lin gently put an arm around Qin Huairu and walked through the gate of the courtyard compound. The moment they entered, they saw Third Uncle Yan Bugui.
“Deputy Factory Director Wang, you’re back.”
Wang Lin nodded and walked straight inside with Qin Huairu.
Seeing this, Yan Bugui’s expression stiffened, and he began grumbling inwardly about Wang Lin.
“Someone like him can actually become a leader? He doesn’t even know the first thing about respecting his elders or caring for the young.”
Wang Lin sneered and glanced back.
“An old man like you, who doesn’t even respect your elders, still expects others to respect you? What makes you think you deserve it?”
Yan Bugui was scared senseless, cold sweat soaking through his clothes.
All he felt now was fear. He never imagined that Wang Lin could somehow know even the thoughts he kept to himself.
“Ah… yes, yes. You’re absolutely right.”
Yan Bugui did not dare resist in the slightest. Yet he still did not believe he had done anything wrong. In his eyes, Wang Lin was simply a man of poor character.
But from that moment on, he did not even dare complain inwardly, afraid that Wang Lin might find out again.
As Wang Lin and Qin Huairu passed through the central courtyard, they both sensed two lustful gazes fixed upon them.
The two men were none other than Jia Dongxu, who had just been released from the police station, and He Yuzhu, who had only recently been discharged from the hospital.
He Yuzhu’s gaze, however, was far more complicated than Jia Dongxu’s. Along with desire, it contained hatred and murderous intent.
“Wang Lin isn’t worthy of Qin Huairu. I’m the only one who deserves her.”
With that thought, Silly Zhu reached down and touched what had once been his pride and joy.
The instant he did, an unbearable pain shot through his lower body. His legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed on the spot.
Wang Lin paid no attention to either of the two good-for-nothings. Silly Zhu in particular was the worst of the lot. In Wang Lin’s opinion, even if the man were given a hundred times more courage, he would never dare take advantage of Qin Huairu.
“Qin Huairu, you’re mine. I will have you. I swear I will.”
Jia Dongxu muttered to himself, his voice filled with possessiveness.
“Heh heh heh. I’m not an ordinary man anymore. A seriously injured Wang Lin won’t be able to protect you.”
Wang Lin sensed Jia Dongxu’s thoughts and fell into contemplation.
“So the rats have infiltrated this place—and even made contact with Jia Dongxu.”
Wang Lin knew exactly how he had ended up in this body. He had been surrounded and attacked by thousands of superpowered individuals from three different countries, leaving him gravely wounded.

Wang Lin was not merely the strongest fighter in the world; his ability to escape was even greater. In the blink of an eye, he had fled all the way back to Great Xia.
Given his understanding of those rats, he had known from the beginning that they would never let such a perfect opportunity pass. They would certainly find a way to eliminate him while he was seriously injured.
“Huairu, be careful around Jia Dongxu. He may no longer be human.”
“What? Jia Dongxu isn’t human anymore?”
Qin Huairu was stunned by Wang Lin’s words.
“There are many supernatural beings in this world. He was probably modified by supernatural beings from another country.”
“This…”
Qin Huairu’s mind struggled to process it all. Still, she understood that she only needed to listen carefully to Wang Lin.
“All right, husband. I’ll be careful around Jia Dongxu from now on.”
“Good. If things become truly dangerous, you can return directly to the Shadow Realm.”
Wang Lin was still uneasy, so he reminded her once more.
Strictly speaking, Qin Huairu should not have possessed the ability to travel freely to and from the Shadow Realm. Yet the Strongest Family System seemed to have anticipated this long ago.
When Qin Huairu became pregnant, the system had granted a reward: as long as she received Wang Lin’s approval, she could sense the existence of the Shadow Realm. Even an ordinary person could then travel there and back at will.
“Of course, Brother Lin.”
Qin Huairu did not grow impatient despite Wang Lin repeatedly warning her to be careful around Jia Dongxu. Instead, she felt incredibly happy. Did this not prove how much Wang Lin cared about her?
Before long, the two of them arrived at Wang Lin’s home in the rear courtyard. After giving the place a casual glance, Wang Lin wore a smug smile.
But the moment he led Qin Huairu out of the house, his expression turned gloomy.
He brought her to the front of Yi Zhonghai’s home in the central courtyard. Without a second thought, Wang Lin kicked the door open.
“Yi Zhonghai, what do you mean by this? I’ve already returned the cheaper items, but you still haven’t returned my most expensive possession—the Xuanyuan Sword. What exactly are you playing at?”
Wang Lin appeared furious. Sweeping his gaze across the room, he immediately spotted a sword hanging on the wall.
“Yi Zhonghai, it seems you’re eager to go to prison. So you’re the one who took my Xuanyuan Sword and refused to return it.”
Wang Lin crossed the room in three strides and stood before the sword hanging on the wall, pointing at it coldly.
Yi Zhonghai was stunned. Only moments earlier, he had still been trying his best to see whether First Aunt might finally bear him a child.
He never imagined that Wang Lin would suddenly barge in.
And as if that were not enough, Wang Lin had caused such a commotion that—

Yi Zhonghai had never been particularly capable in that regard to begin with. His manhood was as short as a chopstick, and the fright Wang Lin gave him made it wilt completely.
Wang Lin looked at Yi Zhonghai, unable to hide his derision.
“Yi Zhonghai, no wonder you have no descendants. It really is both short and small. Could it be that First Aunt is still a virgin even now?”
Yi Zhonghai hurriedly pulled up his trousers. Wang Lin’s words turned his face purple with rage, and the finger he pointed at Wang Lin trembled uncontrollably.
“You… you… you…”
Although Yi Zhonghai had pulled up his trousers quickly, Xu Damao, who had followed Wang Lin over to watch the spectacle, had seen everything clearly.
“Well, well! No wonder First Uncle’s family has no children. It turns out the problem isn’t First Aunt at all—it’s that First Uncle simply can’t perform!”
Xu Damao rushed outside and began shouting.
“Everyone, come and look! Come and look! First Uncle’s thing is unbelievably tiny!”
Hearing Xu Damao yell the news throughout all three courtyards, Qin Huairu finally understood why Wang Lin had not allowed her inside.
He had been afraid she would see Yi Zhonghai’s private parts and have her eyes sullied.
Yi Zhonghai had already been so enraged by Wang Lin that he was on the verge of collapsing. Now, after hearing Xu Damao shouting in the courtyard and mocking him for being both short and small, the double shock proved too much.
His eyes rolled back, and he fainted on the spot.
Wang Lin had not expected Yi Zhonghai to be angered into unconsciousness—and to genuinely pass out at that.
“Well, First Aunt, this isn’t my fault. It was all Xu Damao’s doing. I’ll just take my sword back now.”
With that, Wang Lin grabbed the Xuanyuan Sword from the wall and fled as fast as he could.
After leaving Yi Zhonghai’s home, he found Qin Huairu still outside, enjoying the spectacle. Wang Lin quickly took her hand and reminded her in a low voice,
“Wife, come on. Let’s go home.”
“Oh, I wanted to watch a little longer!”
Qin Huairu had not yet had her fill of the entertainment, but she still followed Wang Lin home.
When Wang Lin and Qin Huairu returned to the rear courtyard, they saw that the new furniture Old Fan had purchased for him had already arrived. Workers were in the middle of carrying it into the house and arranging it inside.
“Head of the Family, what should we do with this old furniture?”
Wang Lin waved his hand.
“You finished investigating the impoverished households in the courtyard, didn’t you? Give the old furniture to them.”
