The room fell silent once more.

Zhou Ruikang sobered up instantly. The situation was… rather hopeless, to be honest. One dared to ask, the other dared to answer. He didn’t even dare look at Xu Mingchuan’s face.

Just this morning, Xu Mingchuan had personally gone to Zhou’s company to discuss a partnership. He’d barely grabbed a bite of takeout for lunch before rushing straight to Charm Night, organizing everything without a moment’s rest. He hadn’t been around before Lin Lu arrived at the club.

At this moment, Su Yi sat up straight, gazing at Lin Lu with a meaningful look. Lin Lu didn’t want to pay any attention and stood to head for the restroom. Xu Mingchuan immediately followed her out.

“Lin Lu, what you just said… it wasn’t true, was it?”

Lin Lu smoothed her hair and replied, “It was true.”

Xu Mingchuan’s expression darkened.

She continued, “I took a nap in the dorm before coming here. I just bought new sheets and rolled around on them several times.”

Xu Mingchuan burst out laughing.

“I’m going to touch up my makeup,” Lin Lu said as she entered the restroom.

When she came out again, Xu Yancheng was waiting by the door.

“You’re really something, Lin Lu, running circles around Xu Mingchuan,” he said, pulling a lipstick from his pocket and tossing it to her. “You left this on the sheets at noon.”

Lin Lu put the lipstick away and lingered outside for a while before returning. Xu Mingchuan was waiting at the door of the private room, as if expecting her.

“Why don’t I take you home?” he offered. “You know my cousin—he’s not in the best mood today. I’m worried he might act out even more later.”

“It’s fine,” Lin Lu replied with a careless smile. “I’ll go back in and get my revenge.”

She and Xu Mingchuan returned to the room, and the game continued. The seating had shifted; Su Yi now sat beside Xu Yancheng. When it was Lin Lu’s turn to spin the bottle, she handled it effortlessly—a skill honed during her summer job at a bar. Unsurprisingly, the bottle’s neck landed squarely on Xu Yancheng.

He arched an eyebrow, signaling her to ask her question.

“What’s the name of the first girl who ever sat in your passenger seat?”

It wasn’t a particularly daring question—almost considerate, in fact. But Lin Lu was certain Xu Yancheng wouldn’t answer.

Sure enough, after a brief pause, Xu Yancheng uttered words that stunned everyone: “Truth or dare.”

The dare’s rule was clear: a kiss, with the style and recipient chosen by the asker.

With composure, Lin Lu strode over to Xu Yancheng, completely ignoring Su Yi.

She pointed at herself. “French kiss.”

Xu Yancheng narrowed his eyes, sneering, “With you?”

Lin Lu met his gaze. “Whoever backs out is a coward.”

“Wow!” someone whistled. Tonight, Second Young Master Xu had finally met his match—no one had expected Lin Lu to be so bold.

“Who’s backing down? Don’t run away later,” Xu Yancheng, clearly goaded, retorted. Su Yi tried to stop him, but he wouldn’t be restrained.

And so, the two kissed.

Su Yi and Xu Mingchuan stood off to the side, both looking displeased. The rest of the crowd had long since forgotten who the party was supposed to celebrate, watching the drama unfold with relish.

After all, a passionate kiss between a handsome man and a beautiful woman was always a feast for the eyes.

The pair moved from one end of the room to the other, unwilling to part, and the scene gradually spiraled out of control. Lin Lu’s wrist was wrenched painfully.

Xu Yancheng’s kiss carried a storm of emotion—she knew it well.

When he was eighteen and drove for the first time, it was Lin Lu who shamelessly stopped his car. That year, she’d planted herself in his passenger seat, brazenly declaring she would be the first woman to sit there.
