Chapter 10 Calamity Is About to Befall You

“Hmm?”
Liang Wei raised his brows in surprise, coldly staring at Ye Tianci, who had gripped his wrist.
“Who are you, kid?” Liang Wei’s expression was proud and aloof.
He struggled fiercely, but could not break free at all; Ye Tianci’s hand held his wrist in an unyielding grip.
Not a single movement!
Liang Wei’s face flushed red with effort, and he growled under his breath, “Let go!”
With a gentle push, Ye Tianci sent Liang Wei sprawling, landing him squarely on his backside before tumbling over again.
Covered in dust, Liang Wei climbed to his feet, gritting his teeth as he glared at Ye Tianci. “You dare lay a hand on me in my own house?”
“Lin Qingqian is my fiancée. You’d best keep your filthy hands away from her, or I won’t hesitate to cut them off.”
Ye Tianci’s voice was icy, his gaze sharp as a blade.
Liang Wei met his eyes, but was shocked to find that Ye Tianci’s stare was so piercing it unsettled him deeply.
“Lin Qingqian, you want to negotiate with me, right? Then tell everyone else to get out!”
Liang Wei shouted angrily.
Wang Qing was terrified out of his wits, scrambling and stumbling as he fled.
Ye Tianci remained seated without moving.
“Kid, I told you to get out! Are you deaf?” Liang Wei roared in rage.
Gao Hongsheng wheeled his chair forward, grinding his teeth. “Wei, my arms and legs were ruined by this cripple!”
“Wei, this Ye Tianci is a cripple and a lunatic. He chopped off my hand!” Gao Hongqiang chimed in immediately.
Liang Wei narrowed his eyes, his voice harsh. “So it was you who injured Hongqiang and Hongsheng. No wonder you’re so arrogant. Kid, you won’t be able to leave now!”
Ye Tianci asked calmly, “What do you intend to do?”
“What do I intend to do? I’m going to cripple you!”
“You’re already a cripple who can walk. I’ll ruin all your limbs, and turn you into a crawling worm!”
Liang Wei’s words were venomous, sending chills down Lin Qingqian’s spine.
They say Liang Wei is the villain of Shu City; it’s no exaggeration!
Gao Hongsheng, in his wheelchair, sneered cruelly, “Ye Tianci, kneel and kowtow to Wei! If you can kowtow a hundred times, maybe Wei will spare one of your legs!”
“A hundred kowtows for one leg? Dream on! At least a thousand kowtows! And you must address Wei as ‘grandfather’ a thousand times!”

Gao Hongqiang laughed viciously as well.
Liang Wei nodded with a cold smile. “That’s right. If you kowtow to me a thousand times and call me ‘grandfather’ a thousand times, I might spare one of your legs, so you can kneel on the ground as well as crawl.”
Ye Tianci looked at the domineering Liang Wei and slowly shook his head. “Hopeless. Truly hopeless.”
“Kid, what nonsense are you spouting?”
“I say you’re beyond saving, Liang Wei. Disaster is about to befall you!”
Liang Wei’s gaze darkened, and he growled, “Nonsense! I’ll show you what disaster means, right now!”
As his words fell, Liang Wei’s hand became a claw, lunging toward Ye Tianci’s shoulder.
“Stop!”
At that moment, a voice filled with authority sounded from outside the door.
A man in traditional attire, nearing sixty, strode in.
Liang Wei immediately withdrew, adopting a reverent posture. “Dad, why are you here?”
The man in traditional garb was Liang Wei’s father, Liang Xianrong, the head of the Liang family and a formidable figure in Shu City.
Liang Wei feared nothing except his father, Liang Xianrong. When he was a child and pulled down a classmate’s pants, Liang Xianrong broke both his legs, confining him to bed for three months.
Even now, in his twenties, seeing Liang Xianrong made him feel like a mouse facing a cat.
Liang Xianrong sat at the head of the table and spoke, “I heard there were guests, so I came to take a look.”
“Awei, since they are guests, how can you resort to violence so hastily? If word gets out, would people not say the Liang family bullies others?”
Liang Wei lowered his head and coughed lightly. Gao Hongsheng hurried to speak, “Master Rong, it’s not the third young master bullying others. It’s this cripple who has gone too far!”
“Master Rong, look—my arm and leg, both ruined by this cripple!”
“And my brother’s hand was chopped off by him!”
Gao Hongqiang quickly added, “Yes, Master Rong, Wei was only trying to stand up for us.”
With his trusted aides paving the way, Liang Wei finally spoke, “Dad, I always follow the family rules and never bully others.”
“This cripple not only hurt Hongqiang and Hongsheng, but also came to our house to show off. He blocked my negotiations with the Lin family and then uttered wild threats, saying disaster was about to befall me. That’s why I took action.”
He wore the look of an honest man, completely different from his earlier viciousness.
Liang Xianrong raised his brows and looked at Ye Tianci. “So you injured the Gao brothers?”
Ye Tianci nodded calmly.
“You just said my son is about to face disaster?”
Liang Xianrong asked again, his demeanor and tone growing colder.

Ye Tianci’s expression did not change as he nodded once more. “That’s right! Not only disaster, but a calamity of blood.”
As he spoke, he extended five fingers.
“Within five days?” Liang Xianrong frowned.
“No.”
Ye Tianci shook his head, his voice indifferent. “Within five minutes.”
“Ha!”
Liang Wei scoffed, “Dad, did you hear that? This kid is unbelievably arrogant. If we don’t teach him a lesson, what face will the Liang family have?”
“Take him down!”
Liang Wei waved his hand, and more than a dozen men behind him prepared to surge forward.
Liang Xianrong frowned slightly. “Wait.”
The men stopped instantly.
In the Liang household, Liang Xianrong’s word was law; he held absolute authority.
He sized up Ye Tianci and said, “Young man, I’m curious. On what basis do you claim my son will suffer disaster and bloodshed within five minutes? Are you some kind of fortune teller?”
“I know a little,” Ye Tianci replied blandly.
“In that case, I’ll give you this opportunity. Let’s see if your prediction holds. Five minutes—I can wait.”
Liang Xianrong turned the beads in his hand thoughtfully.
Liang Wei sneered, his gaze sinister. “Right, just five minutes. We can wait.”
“If no disaster or bloodshed comes to me in five minutes, you, kid, will be the one to suffer!”
He turned to Liang Xianrong, fanning the flames. “Dad, when five minutes are up, will you let me deal with this cripple as I see fit?”
Liang Xianrong glanced at him. “When the time is up, you may handle him as you wish. I don’t allow you to bully others, but I absolutely won’t let others bully you!”
“Anyone who dares to trample on the Liang family must pay the price.”
His voice was commanding, his presence imposing.
With his father backing him, Liang Wei stood taller, his nose in the air, full of pride.
Gao Hongqiang and Gao Hongsheng exchanged smug looks, staring at Ye Tianci. To them, Ye Tianci was already a worm with ruined limbs, just waiting to crawl!
Because once five minutes were up, Wei would surely cripple him!
