“War King Chu Wudao was sent flying with a single slap? My heavens!”

“That Chu Wudao must be an impostor, right? A mighty War King, yet he couldn’t even block one slap?”

“Nonsense! He is the genuine War King Chu Wudao! But how could he be so easily overwhelmed by just one palm strike? Could it be that this Ye is a warrior of the divine battle god level?”

“A battle god! Absolutely a battle god-level powerhouse! Unbelievable!”

“If I hadn’t witnessed it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it! My goodness, this unassuming fellow is a battle god!”

...

Everyone present was utterly shaken.

Each person’s eyes widened as they gazed in disbelief at Ye Tianci and then at Chu Wudao, who lay sprawled ten meters away.

Tang Qiong’s beautiful eyes sparkled with admiration and her gaze toward Ye Tianci was filled with stars.

The last time Ye Tianci saved her, she already sensed his strength.

Seeing him strike again left Tang Qiong equally stunned.

“The sect leader is incredibly powerful!”

“Perhaps only a handful in the entire Battle God Hall, like Sect Leader Wan, could surpass him,” Tang Qiong murmured to herself.

Qi Xian’s mouth hung open in vain, his expression dazed, lips trembling uncontrollably.

“How is this possible? How can he be this strong?” Qi Xian shouted in his heart, desperation thick in his voice.

The other Qi family members shared his disbelief, unwilling to accept what they had just seen.

“Cough, cough!”

Chu Wudao rose slowly, clutching his chest, blood spewing from his mouth.

His expression grave as he looked at Ye Tianci, eyes darkened, voice hoarse: “Who exactly are you?”

Ye Tianci clasped his hands behind his back, stepping forward calmly. His voice was cool and composed: “Chu Wudao, I have already identified myself. You know better than I do what that token signifies. Do I need to say more?”

“No!”

“Impossible! Your Southern King token is a fake!”

Chu Wudao stubbornly refused to believe otherwise.

“Guards!”

He suddenly raised his arm and shouted.

Several dozen soldiers clad in military attire charged in to shield him and called out in unison: “Awaiting the War King’s orders!”

Gritting his teeth, Chu Wudao pointed at Ye Tianci: “Seize him!”

“If he resists, kill him on the spot!”

The guards immediately prepared to act.

Tang Qiong hurriedly stepped forward and shouted, “Chu Wudao, how dare you mobilize armed forces for personal revenge?”

“Tang Qiong!”

Chu wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and retorted fiercely, “We are both members of the Battle God Hall. I was attacked, yet you refuse to defend a comrade and instead protect this man!”

“Aren’t you afraid I’ll report this to Sect Leader Wan and hold you accountable?”

“Stand down! Or don’t blame me for being ruthless!”

His dignity utterly shattered before everyone, his reason nearly lost.

Tang Qiong arched her brows, her presence commanding: “Chu Wudao, if you refuse to listen to good advice, then bear the consequences yourself!”

*Clap!*

She snapped her fingers coldly.

Outside, a cacophony of footsteps echoed swiftly.

In the next moment, the banquet hall’s doors flung wide open, and over a hundred burly men in uniform flooded in.

Leading them was none other than Tang Ying!

Chu Wudao sneered, “Tang Qiong, you accuse me of unlawfully mobilizing troops, yet it seems you are the one who truly did!”

“Looks like these are the Tang family’s own forces, mere ragtag soldiers! Pathetic!”

“Do you really think such scraps can stand against my personal guards?”

No sooner had he spoken than a disdainful voice rang out loudly: “Scraps? War King Chu, who told you that the family’s private forces are scraps?”

The voice was full of vigor, thick with disdain.

With the voice came a tide of several hundred armed soldiers pouring into the banquet hall!

Guests scrambled backward in surprise.

These soldiers, like those with Tang Ying, wore informal uniform attire stamped with the character “He” on their backs. They were clearly private forces just like the Tang family’s.

Leading them were two men—one elderly and one young.

The elder was nearly sixty, of average build and slightly plump face.

Beside him stood a tall, robust young man, with an eagle perched on his left shoulder and a gun slung over his right. His expression was haughty.

“Who are you?”

Chu Wudao frowned.

Qi Xian hesitated, then stepped forward to ask, “May I ask your purpose here?”

The young man twirled his gun on his right shoulder, pressing the barrel against Qi Xian’s shoulder, shoving him aside.

“What business do you have asking? Mind your own affairs and get lost!”

His glare was domineering.

The dozen or so guards beside him mimicked his fierce gaze, their aura intimidating enough to silence Qi Xian.

The young man stepped forward and gestured toward Tang Qiong.

Tang Qiong arched her eyebrows and spoke softly, “May I ask which mountains you hail from?”

“Changbai Mountain!”

“Which temple do you worship?”

“He Family Temple!”

“And which gate do you salute?”

“Chaotian Gate!”

The elder’s voice was proud as he changed his hand signs.

A smile curled at Tang Qiong’s lips as she returned a gesture, subtly indicating Ye Tianci.

The two immediately turned their gaze to Ye Tianci.

The elder caught sight of the Tianmen ring on Ye Tianci’s hand and his expression shifted slightly. He turned calmly to Chu Wudao and smiled: “War King Chu Wudao?”

“That’s me. Your guards all bear the character ‘He’ on their uniforms.”

“Could it be that you are the He family, the wealthiest in Jilin Province at the foot of Changbai Mountain?”

Chu Wudao asked coldly.

The elder stroked his beard: “As expected of the War King, you guessed correctly at once!”

“I am He Mingshen, head of the He family in Jilin Province!”

“War King Chu, I have brought five hundred He family troops! Only two hundred are present here—do you really think my He family soldiers are scraps? Can they catch the eye of War King Chu?”

His words caused an uproar.

“The He family of Jilin Province? How strange—they’re a thousand miles from Shucheng. What are they doing here?”

“Exactly, it’s baffling!”

“Didn’t you hear? He Mingshen spoke some code words with General Tang Qiong. Could the He and Tang families be connected?”

“I heard it too, though I don’t understand. But it seems likely they are allied!”

“The He family is the richest and strongest in Jilin, far above the Tang family in Shucheng. If these two families unite, even Chu Wudao wouldn’t dare act recklessly!”

...

The guests buzzed excitedly.

Chu Wudao curled his lips in disdain: “The He family? Hmph, I think you’re truly senile!”

“You really think that with your He family’s few troops combined with the Tang family you can stand against my personal guards?”

“A fool’s dream!”

Just as if to slap his words down, a clear, commanding female voice rang out—

“Chu Wudao, if the Tang and He families cannot oppose you, what about the Xiao family of Modu?”

Her voice was mesmerizing, piercing every ear in the banquet hall!

The crowd at the entrance parted like a tide as another hundred strong, muscular men stormed in!

At their front walked a young, stunning woman.

A beauty capable of causing nations to fall and empires to rise.

An angelic face with a devilish figure.

Beside her strode an elderly woman dressed in white.

The elder exuded a commanding aura; wherever she passed, the guests instinctively bowed their heads.

“A martial arts grandmaster!”

“This servant is a martial arts grandmaster?”

“My goodness, even the servant is a grandmaster. Imagine how terrifying the master must be!”

...

With the crowd’s murmurs rising, the banquet hall erupted in uproar!
