Qian Cong crawled forward in tears and grabbed the man’s trouser leg.
The newcomer was Qian Haiyang. He stared blankly for a moment. “Who are you?”
He had failed to recognize Qian Cong. Yao Wu had beaten him so badly that his face was completely disfigured.
“Dad, it’s me—your son.”
“Holy shit!”
Qian Haiyang jumped in shock, then flew into a rage. “Who did this to you?”
“I did,” Yao Wu said coldly from the side.
Qian Haiyang immediately turned on him, glaring with fury. “Yao Wu, whatever else you are, you’re still his maternal uncle. How could you be so ruthless?”
“Ruthless?”
“I’ve already shown your family plenty of consideration by not crippling him!”
“Qian Haiyang, hear me clearly. From this day forward, we have no family ties whatsoever! I, Yao Wu, am cutting off all contact with your family!”
After delivering those words harshly, Yao Wu came before Ye Tianci, lowered his head, and bowed respectfully.
“Please forgive me, Mr. Ye. I didn’t come to this private room because of you.”
Ye Tianci was quite satisfied with his conduct just now. He nodded with a faint smile. “It’s fine.”
Qian Haiyang was about to explode when he heard Yao Wu’s words. His eyebrows shot up as he studied Ye Tianci in astonishment.
“Mr. Ye? Are you the Mr. Ye from Tiger Roar Manor yesterday?”
“Yes.”
Ye Tianci regarded him calmly.
Qian Haiyang sucked in a breath of cold air and hurriedly bowed with the utmost respect. “To meet the legendary Mr. Ye is truly my great fortune. My son was beaten—may I ask whether you know what happened?”
A playful smile tugged at the corner of Ye Tianci’s mouth. “No one knows better than I do.”
Unable to hold back, Yao Wu spoke up. “Qian Haiyang, your precious son bullied Mr. Ye and forced him to kneel!”
“What?!”
Qian Haiyang nearly leaped into the air.
“Mr. Ye… is that true?” His lips trembled.
He had heard all about what happened at Tiger Roar Manor yesterday.
“Ask your son,” Ye Tianci said.
Qian Haiyang’s face went pale as he turned toward Qian Cong. “Tell me! How did you offend Mr. Ye?”
“Dad!”
Qian Cong collapsed onto the floor in terror. He had finally realized just how foolish he had been to provoke Ye Tianci.
Seeing his reaction, Qian Haiyang understood at once that Yao Wu had been telling the truth.
“Qian Haiyang, your aquatic-products company has lost its right to supply this establishment. You have your beloved son to thank for that,” Yao Wu added, fanning the flames.

“That’s right, Boss Qian. Not only has Dragon Soaring Hotel revoked your supplier status, but none of the catering companies under the Tang family will do business with you from now on either.”
Tang Ying stated this coldly.
Qian Haiyang’s face turned ashen. His lips trembled, and then he gritted his teeth and kicked his son viciously.
“I’ll beat you to death, you miserable bastard!”
He pinned Qian Cong to the floor and pummeled him with fists and feet, striking even more brutally than Yao Wu had.
“Ah!”
Qian Cong’s right leg was broken by the blows. Clutching it, he let out a howl of agony.
Yet Qian Haiyang still did not stop. He picked up a chair and smashed it down onto Qian Cong with all his strength, breaking the chair to pieces.
Qian Cong passed out cold. He lay motionless on the floor, covered in blood, like a dead dog.
Breathing heavily, Qian Haiyang knelt before Ye Tianci with a complicated look in his eyes.
“Mr. Ye, my son was ignorant. Since he has already been seriously injured and rendered unconscious, I beg you to spare him this once—and leave me a way to survive as well.”
Qian Haiyang had acted decisively. He had shown no hesitation and no mercy when he attacked his son.
He knew that this was the only way he might still salvage the situation.
Ye Tianci waved his hand. “Your son’s matter ends here. As for your business dealings with Dragon Soaring Hotel, they have nothing to do with me. But rest assured—I won’t take my anger at your son out on you or drive your family into ruin.”
He was no bodhisattva. Qian Haiyang’s decisiveness and sincere attitude were not enough to make him completely forgive Qian Cong.
Qian Cong had offended him, and every consequence he suffered was deserved.
Tang Ying understood the implication in Ye Tianci’s words and said coolly, “Boss Qian, you can forget about supplying Dragon Soaring Hotel. As for doing business with the other catering companies under my name, that will depend on how sincere you are.”
“Thank you, Mr. Ye!”
“Thank you, Young Master Tang!”
Qian Haiyang expressed his gratitude repeatedly to both men, then carried his seriously injured, unconscious son out of the private room.
The moment they left, Yao Wu widened his eyes and roared like thunder.
“Who else here has offended Mr. Ye?”
Everyone in the private room trembled in terror. One of the girls forced a smile and said, “No… no one else offended him. We—we’re all friends of Ye Tianci!”
“That’s right!”
“We’re friends!”
“Exactly. Ye Tianci is our classmate’s fiancé. We’re very close.”
The group of classmates scrambled to declare their allegiance.
Ye Tianci gave a cold laugh. “I don’t know any of them. Qingqian, are you close to them?”
Lin Qingqian spoke coldly as well. “We used to be, but not anymore. From now on, I have nothing to do with them.”
“Yao Wu, deal with these people. Just now, they forced me to kneel too, just like Qian Cong did. You know what to do, don’t you?”
Yao Wu flashed a vicious grin. “I know, Mr. Ye. I’ll take very good care of them.”

He clenched his fists with a sinister smile, his knuckles cracking loudly.
The other attendants also advanced menacingly, surrounding the group.
Lin Qingqian’s classmates had never encountered such vicious men. They burst into tears on the spot.
Ye Tianci, Lin Qingqian, and Qin Nan turned and left without the slightest reluctance.
The door to the private room slammed shut.
A constant stream of screams came from inside.
They continued for a full ten minutes.
Ten minutes later, Yao Wu called Ye Tianci and reported eagerly, “Mr. Ye, it’s all taken care of. I expect they’ll be bedridden for ten days to half a month.”
“Understood.”
Ye Tianci hung up and relayed the news to Lin Qingqian and Qin Nan.
Both women smiled happily. At last, they had vented the anger in their hearts.
Lin Qingqian and Qin Nan were going to Bright Spring Sanatorium to keep Qin Xi company, so they left first. Ye Tianci hailed a taxi and went to Jade Street.
It was on this very street that he had previously found a bargain and bought a small jade pendant from the Zhou Dynasty—only for Zhao Hui to deliberately smash it.
This time, however, he had not come looking for bargains. He intended to buy some jade.
After obtaining the Blood Spirit Jade, which was brimming with spiritual energy, from the Li family, Ye Tianci had to make use of it. To fully utilize its power, he needed more jadeite artifacts.
As soon as Ye Tianci arrived on Jade Street and stepped out of the taxi, he ran into a familiar face—none other than Zhao Xiujie, who had mocked him outside Dragon Soaring Hotel.
“Oh, who do we have here? Getting out of a taxi? So it’s you, Ye Tianci!”
“What happened? Did Lin Qingqian dump you?”
Zhao Xiujie spoke in a mocking, sarcastic tone.
Ye Tianci cast him a cold glance. “Zhao Xiujie, you still haven’t apologized to me. Don’t forget my warning—you’re going to suffer a financial loss.”
“I never noticed before that you could read faces and tell fortunes. You really are hilarious. I can’t believe Lin Qingqian chose a fiancé like you.”
“What are you doing on Jade Street?”
Zhao Xiujie looked at him with contempt.
“Buying jade, naturally.”
Ye Tianci said this indifferently and walked ahead.
Like a burr that would not come loose, Zhao Xiujie followed him, laughing mockingly.
“Did I hear that right? You’re buying jade? Do you even understand jade?”
