“Bang! Bang!”
The two men had clearly intended to intimidate Ye Tianci.
But they had vastly overestimated their own strength. Before they could even react, both were sent flying at the same time!
The other men in black no longer dared to move.
Ye Tianci walked straight up to Zhao Qinglong. Then, looking at Zhao Xiujie beside him with a cold expression, he said, “Zhao Xiujie, I’m here.”
Zhao Xiujie stared at Ye Tianci in astonishment. He had just watched the surveillance footage and seen Ye Tianci fight his way up through the building, displaying astonishing ferocity.
He was practically more formidable than the greatest martial-arts star in any movie!
Hearing Ye Tianci’s words, Zhao Xiujie came back to himself. He glanced around at the many bodyguards his second uncle had hired, and his arrogance quickly returned.
“Ye Tianci, so what if you can fight? Two fists can’t beat four hands. No matter how strong you are, can you really stand against a crowd?”
“This is my second uncle’s clubhouse. Now that you’ve come in, don’t even think about leaving!”
He continued to taunt Ye Tianci, forgetting that Ye Tianci had fought his way all the way here, and that the numerous guards at the Azure Dragon Clubhouse had been powerless to stop him.
Ye Tianci looked at him coldly. “Zhao Xiujie, it doesn’t matter if you want to prance around in front of me like a clown.”
“But no one gets to threaten the safety of the people around me!”
Zhao Xiujie rolled his eyes disdainfully and snorted. “I’m threatening you. What are you going to do about it?”
“A gentleman uses words, not fists. Are you going to shut my mouth just because I said a few things?”
Zhao Qinglong spoke coldly. “Xiujie, why waste your breath on someone like him?”
He turned toward the guest seated in the chair nearby and said with a flattering smile, “Captain Zhu, you saw what happened just now. This man caused a disturbance at my Azure Dragon Clubhouse and injured my men. You must uphold justice for me.”
The man was slightly overweight, with a black mole above the corner of his mouth. He stared arrogantly at Ye Tianci.
“Young man, you’ve run straight into the muzzle of a gun today!”
“Who are you?” Ye Tianci asked calmly.
“Show some respect! This is Captain Zhu of the Sky Patrol Pavilion in Shu City!”
Zhao Qinglong rebuked him coldly.
Captain Zhu casually tossed a pair of handcuffs in front of Ye Tianci. His expression was icy.
“Are you going to put them on yourself, or shall I have someone do it for you?”
Clatter!
Four uniformed constables stepped forward, each holding a gun. Four dark muzzles aimed straight at Ye Tianci!
“Put the handcuffs on obediently! Otherwise, don’t blame the bullets if they fail to distinguish friend from foe!”
The constables threatened Ye Tianci.
Ye Tianci swept his gaze over them, then finally rested his eyes on Zhao Qinglong.
“You two uncle and nephew invited people from the Sky Patrol Pavilion in advance. Then you called me and provoked me, luring me here to injure your men so this man could arrest me.”
“Heh. You’ve certainly concocted an elaborate scheme.”
“You think you can manipulate me with the help of some insignificant captain from the Sky Patrol Pavilion?”
Ye Tianci’s expression was cold.
Zhao Qinglong flew into a rage. “How dare you look down on and insult Captain Zhu? You’ve got some nerve!”

Captain Zhu’s fury intensified. He slammed his hand on the table.
“Insignificant? Fine! I’ll show you exactly who is insignificant!”
“Put him in handcuffs!”
“If he resists, shoot him on the spot!”
With a sweeping gesture of his hand, Captain Zhu ordered the four constables to move.
“Let me see who dares touch Mr. Ye!”
A thunderous roar suddenly came from the doorway.
As the words fell, Yuan Zhonghuang, who had received Ye Tianci’s message in advance, strode in with his men.
Every one of them had eyes like a tiger’s, wide and glaring.
They radiated murderous intent!
The four constables froze where they stood, not daring to proceed.
Zhao Qinglong was stunned. He hurried forward with a flattering smile.
“I had no idea what favorable wind brought you here, Uncle Yuan.”
Smack!
Yuan Zhonghuang backhanded him across the face, the blow landing hard.
“What wild dog is blocking the way? Get lost!”
After cursing him, he walked straight over to Ye Tianci.
“Mr. Ye, we’re not too late, are we?”
Ye Tianci nodded.
“Uncle Yuan, what are you doing?” Zhao Qinglong asked, clutching his face with an aggrieved expression.
“What am I doing? You offended Mr. Ye, which means you offended me, Yuan Zhonghuang!”
Yuan Zhonghuang glared fiercely.
Zhao Qinglong trembled from head to toe, his heart thrown into turmoil.
Yuan Zhonghuang turned his cold gaze toward Captain Zhu.
“Zhu Jingshan, you think you can arrest Mr. Ye? I suggest you keep your eyes open.”
“Yuan Zhonghuang, have you gotten too full of yourself? How dare you shout at me!”
“Any stinking insect dares to jump around now. It seems the Sky Patrol Pavilion needs to clean up Shu City.”
Captain Zhu was furious.
Yuan Zhonghuang’s expression was disdainful. “Unfortunately, Zhu Jingshan, you’re not the one who gets to decide. Mr. Ye was absolutely right. In the Sky Patrol Pavilion, you really are insignificant.”
Zhu Jingshan was enraged. “I’m good friends with Deputy Pavilion Master Yao, and I’m one of his most trusted men. All it would take is a single word from me for Deputy Pavilion Master Yao to arrest this man surnamed Ye—and deal with you, Yuan Zhonghuang!”
“Is that so? I, Yao Wu, actually take orders from you? Why have I never heard of this?”
A voice filled with authority rang out, and everyone turned toward the entrance.
Yao Wu strode in with a large contingent of his subordinates.
“Deputy Pavilion Master Yao, what brings you here as well?” Zhao Qinglong endured the pain in his face and hurried forward with a smile.
Yao Wu did not slap him as Yuan Zhonghuang had, but neither did he pay him any attention. He walked straight to Ye Tianci and bowed slightly.
“Mr. Ye, did you encounter any trouble?”

Zhao Qinglong’s expression grew even more awkward. He realized that something was seriously wrong.
“Nothing much. Your subordinate merely tried to arrest me and send me to prison for the rest of my life.”
Ye Tianci smiled faintly. He had only notified Yuan Zhonghuang. Yao Wu’s arrival could only mean that Yuan Zhonghuang had sent word to him.
Yao Wu’s face darkened as he turned coldly toward Zhu Jingshan.
“Zhu Jingshan, you’re meddling in more and more affairs, and your boasts are growing bigger by the day.”
His hostile tone was unmistakable. Zhu Jingshan could also see that both Yao Wu and Yuan Zhonghuang treated Ye Tianci with utmost respect.
At that moment, Zhu Jingshan finally realized that Ye Tianci was someone he could never afford to offend.
“I… I was only boasting just now,” Zhu Jingshan said with an embarrassed smile.
Yao Wu sneered, showing him no mercy.
“Boasting comes at a price! From this moment on, you are no longer the chief captain.”
“You’re dismissed!”
“What?!”
Zhu Jingshan stood there in stunned disbelief.
“I’m not finished. The Azure Dragon Clubhouse is suspected of engaging in all manner of illegal business activities. I suspect that you were their protector. I suspect even more strongly that your own hands are dirty!”
“Take Zhu Jingshan away!”
Yao Wu waved his hand. Several constables immediately stepped forward, forced Zhu Jingshan’s arms behind his back, and snapped handcuffs around his wrists.
They were the very same handcuffs he had thrown at Ye Tianci!
“Brother Yao, you can’t do this!” Captain Zhu’s face changed drastically.
Zhao Qinglong steeled himself and stepped forward.
“Deputy Pavilion Master Yao, every business operated by the Azure Dragon Clubhouse is legal. Captain Zhu was merely upholding justice for me. It was this man surnamed Ye who came here causing trouble and injured so many of my people.”
“I’m the victim here!”
Yao Wu looked at him coldly.
“You’re the victim?”
“Before I came here, I checked the records. Over the years, more than a dozen people have reported your Azure Dragon Clubhouse. Zhu Jingshan suppressed every one of those complaints for you. He was your protector, wasn’t he?”
“I…” Zhao Qinglong panicked.
“Zhu Jingshan, do you plead guilty?” Yao Wu’s expression turned even colder.
Zhu Jingshan did not dare defend himself. He knew how ruthless Yao Wu could be; the more he argued, the worse the consequences would become.
He said nothing, merely lowering his head like an eggplant beaten down by frost.
Yao Wu waved his hand, and several constables escorted Zhu Jingshan away.
“What’s going on here? Who’s causing trouble at the Azure Dragon Clubhouse?”
A young man in a red suit strode in, his expression arrogant, with four subordinates following behind him.
