Chapter 2: A Cripple Like You, Trying to Play the Hero?

Faced with danger, Lin Qingqian remained calm and instructed her driver, Du Yong, to get out of the car with her.
Ye Tianci shifted slightly, wanting to exit as well, but Lin Qingqian stopped him: “Stay in the car and don’t come out. Otherwise, they might hurt you.”
Though it was just a simple expression of concern, it warmed Ye Tianci’s heart.
Aside from his old master and his three senior sisters, Lin Qingqian was the first outsider to care about him!
Du Yong glanced at Ye Tianci with cold ridicule: “You still want to get out and settle things? Spare me. Someone like you—I could take on ten with one hand!”
“If you dare to step out, you’ll be beaten like a dog!”
He still harbored resentment from the slap he received from Ghost Hand in Wolong Village, and now he blamed Ye Tianci.
Ye Tianci looked at Du Yong: “Your brow is darkened. Bloodshed is coming your way. Don’t be so eager to stand out.”
“Oh, you know how to tell fortunes now? Idiot!”
Du Yong rolled his eyes disdainfully and followed Lin Qingqian out of the car.
The bodyguards from the car behind also stepped out.
A man in a Zhongshan suit watched Lin Qingqian with a mocking smile: “Miss Lin, we’ve been waiting for you.”
Du Yong, eager to prove himself, shoved the man in the Zhongshan suit: “Who do you think you are, daring to block my lady’s car? Get lost!”
The man’s eyes turned cold. He abruptly seized Du Yong’s wrist and twisted it viciously.
A crack sounded.
Du Yong’s arm broke instantly.
“Ah!!”
Du Yong screamed in agony.
With a heavy kick, the man sent Du Yong flying. He landed hard on the ground, mouth open, vomiting blood.
It was impossible to tell how many ribs were broken.
Du Yong’s face turned pale with pain; he sat trembling on the ground, staring at the man in horror.
Ye Tianci hadn’t been beaten like a dog—but Du Yong certainly had.
The man in the Zhongshan suit bared his teeth and pointed at the crowd with a fierce expression: “Listen up! I am Gao Hongsheng from Dongliang Group!”
“Anyone who knows my name better behave!”
The bodyguards’ faces changed instantly, and Du Yong was filled with regret. If he’d known it was this calamity, he would have listened to Ye Tianci and stayed out of it.
In Shu City, there was talk of the “Four Tigers and Three Dragons.” Gao Hongsheng was one of the Four Tigers—known as the River-Turning Tiger!
His older brother, Gao Hongqiang, was one of the Three Dragons!
The brothers were backed by the Liang family, one of Shu City’s four great clans, notorious for their ruthlessness—no one dared provoke them.
Lin Qingqian frowned: “Gao Hongsheng, what exactly do you want?”
“Miss Lin, our Young Master Wei requests your presence.” Gao Hongsheng smiled darkly.
“Tell your Young Master Wei not to bother me anymore.” A delicate frown creased Lin Qingqian’s brow.
“If you won’t take a polite invitation, then don’t blame us for being rough.”
“Big Tiger, Second Tiger, bring Miss Lin to the car!”
At Gao Hongsheng’s cold command, two burly men rushed forward and pressed a towel over Lin Qingqian’s mouth and nose.
She lost consciousness instantly.

Lin Qingqian’s bodyguards surged forward to protect her, but were all knocked to the ground.
Just as Lin Qingqian was about to be dragged into the car, a quiet voice suddenly sounded—
“Let her go.”
Everyone turned to see Ye Tianci stepping out of the Red Flag sedan, limping toward them.
Gao Hongsheng curled his lips in amusement: “Well, well, does a cripple want to play the hero?”
Ye Tianci pointed at Lin Qingqian and spoke in a cold voice: “You have three seconds to release her, then kneel and apologize to me.”
Gao Hongsheng raised an eyebrow and laughed arrogantly: “Did I hear that right, brothers? This cripple wants to count to three and make me kneel?”
“How ridiculous!”
“A cripple—where does he get the courage to challenge Brother Sheng?”
“Brother Sheng could kill him with a finger!”
...
Gao Hongsheng’s men burst out laughing, all of them ridiculing Ye Tianci.
Gao Hongsheng’s gaze turned vicious: “I am the Mountain Tiger of Shu Road! Kneel and kowtow a hundred times! Or I’ll cripple your other leg!”
“Three!”
“Two!”
“One!”
The count finished, but Ye Tianci didn’t move.
Gao Hongsheng’s mouth twisted into a cruel smile and he waved his hand coldly: “Big Tiger, Second Tiger, cripple his other leg!”
He didn’t even bother to do it himself, as Ye Tianci was beneath his notice.
Second Tiger stopped Big Tiger, snorting disdainfully: “Brother, there’s no need for you to waste your energy on a little cripple. One slap and I’ll send him flying!”
With that, Second Tiger charged forward, swinging a heavy slap at Ye Tianci’s face.
A sharp slap echoed—and someone went flying.
But it wasn’t Ye Tianci; it was Second Tiger.
Second Tiger, weighing nearly two hundred pounds, shot out like a sandbag tossed aside, flying ten meters through the air!
He crashed to the ground and didn’t even make a sound before passing out.
A chorus of gasps filled the air!
Du Yong and the others lying on the ground stared in shock, as if they’d seen a ghost.
Big Tiger and the rest were equally stunned, rooted to the spot.
Gao Hongsheng’s small eyes narrowed like a snake’s: “So you know some martial arts. But what does it matter? Against numbers, it’s useless!”
“What are you all waiting for? Get him! Let him see what a crowd can do!”
At his command, all his men rushed at Ye Tianci, shouting.
Bang!
“My leg!”
“Ow, my arm!”

...
One after another, over a dozen burly men were sent flying, landing heavily several meters away.
Some had broken arms, others broken legs!
Ye Tianci had shown mercy—otherwise, they would all have died!
“Your advantage in numbers is meaningless now.”
Ye Tianci stood with his hands behind his back, gazing coolly at Gao Hongsheng.
Looking at his men scattered on the ground, groaning in pain, Gao Hongsheng’s expression finally changed. His voice was hoarse: “Who are you?”
Ye Tianci didn’t answer. He pointed at the ground, his voice calm: “Kneel and apologize. Kowtow a hundred times.”
Gao Hongsheng tried to muster bravado: “Kid, my brother is Gao Hongqiang, the ‘River Dragon’ among Shu City’s Three Dragons, with over a hundred men under his command!”
“We work for Third Young Master Liang Wei of the Liang family. In Shu City, no one dares touch Wei’s people!”
“You want me to kneel and kowtow? You’d better think carefully!”
In his mind, anyone who learned of his two powerful backers would be scared stiff—Ye Tianci surely would be no exception.
“Is that so? Let’s see how much power you really have.”
Ye Tianci moved like a ghost, appearing in front of Gao Hongsheng.
“What are you doing?” Gao Hongsheng shouted in terror.
A crack sounded.
His arm was broken by Ye Tianci!
“Aaah!”
Gao Hongsheng clutched his shattered arm, howling in pain.
“One last chance. Will you kneel or not?”
Ye Tianci stood with his hands behind his back, his voice cold.
His not-so-imposing figure seemed like a peerless spear, radiating sharpness!
A murderous aura filled the air!
For the first time, Gao Hongsheng—who had never feared anything—felt terror.
The killing intent emanating from Ye Tianci chilled him to the bone.
With a thud, Gao Hongsheng dropped to his knees, prostrating himself like a dog: “Big brother, I know I was wrong. Please spare me!”
Everyone present was stunned by the scene!
Gao Hongsheng was one of Shu City’s Four Tigers—a figure ordinary people dared not provoke!
And yet, this formidable figure now knelt like a humble old dog before Ye Tianci, begging for mercy!
Had they not witnessed it themselves, who would believe it?
