Mr. Yu’s smile widened as he explained deferentially, “Mr. Ye, you may not know this, but the verification machine on this floor has a preset limit. If the card’s balance exceeds thirty million, it flags the data as abnormal.”

“This is to protect customer privacy—a safeguard we put in place.”

“Your card balance exceeds thirty million, so the machine couldn’t display it. But from the main terminal upstairs, I can see the actual amount.”

Hearing this, Gao Youcai and several salespeople all stared in shock.

“Uh?” Yu Sihai was stunned, then shot Gao Youcai a furious glare. “Did you just insult Mr. Ye?!”

Gao Youcai trembled violently, his eyes darting. “Boss, it’s all a misunderstanding.”

He forced a smile at Ye Tiance. “Mr. Ye, I was just joking earlier. Please don’t take it seriously.”

“Which car catches your eye? I’ll give you a thorough introduction.”

Ye Tiance’s face remained expressionless. “I’m not joking. I want all the wheels from every car in your shop.”

“I know what a car wheel is. You don’t need to introduce them. Take them all off and pack them up.”

Gao Youcai’s face turned bitter. “Mr. Ye, everyone buys cars. Who buys just the wheels?”

Ye Tiance looked to Yu Sihai. “Boss Yu, your people won’t sell me a car. If I want to buy the wheels, you won’t sell those either?”

Yu Sihai understood. Clearly, his employee had offended Ye Tiance, hence the anger.

“Mr. Ye, please don’t be upset. Give me two minutes.”

With that, Yu Sihai hurried off to check the surveillance footage.

The dealership’s surveillance was thorough, with both video and audio. It didn’t take long for Yu Sihai to find the scene where Gao Youcai mocked Ye Tiance. After just a few sentences, he couldn’t bear to listen any longer.

Even after all that, Yu Sihai was still fuming as he ordered Gao Youcai to be thrown out.

The remaining sales staff all stood trembling with fear.

Ye Tiance explained in a low voice. Though he was hiding something, what he said was not untrue.

Lin Qingqian suddenly understood, though she chided him softly, “Still, there’s no need to buy such an expensive car.”

Ye Tiance smiled gently. “If it’s for you, only the best will do.”

Lin Qingqian looked at him with tender eyes, filled with emotion.

After signing the contract, Lin Qingqian received the keys to the car and her mood soared.

“When we get to Tiger Group, do you think they’ll give us the project funds as soon as they see this car?” she said with a hopeful laugh.

Yu Sihai, standing nearby, lifted his brows. “Mr. Ye, are you going to Tiger Group?”

“To collect payment,” Ye Tiance replied coolly.

Yu Sihai’s eyes flashed and he stepped forward. “Mr. Ye, if you don’t mind, may I accompany you?”

“No matter how much Tiger Group owes you, I guarantee you’ll get every cent.”

Ye Tiance looked at him with a smile. “And why are you so confident?”

Yu Sihai chuckled. “Mr. Ye, may I keep it a secret for now?”

“Very well, then I’ll trouble you, Boss Yu.”

Ye Tiance could have collected the funds himself, but since Yu Sihai offered, it wouldn’t hurt to give him this honor.

Moments later, Lin Qingqian drove the Rolls Royce out of the dealership, with Yu Sihai seated beside Ye Tiance as they headed for Tiger Group.
