Chapter 89: Shameless

With a sharp slap, Ye Tiansi seized Chu Feng’s wrist.

He twisted it slightly, and the flame tattoo on Chu Feng’s wrist was instantly exposed.

Ye Tiansi curved his lips. “Chief Chu, you’ve got taste. A tattoo like that suits you.”

Chu Feng yanked his wrist back in struggle, his face darkening. “Kid, I’m not going to fight you, so stop spouting nonsense and causing trouble here!”

“Whether Qin Xi is your friend or your family, take her away!”

“Qin Xi doesn’t have cancer. There isn’t even any sign of malignancy.”

“Explain that clearly to her and her sister, and they’ll leave on their own.”

Ye Tiansi said, “Her kidneys are not failing because of cancer. One kidney was removed, and a section of her intestine was cut away, right?”

On the hospital bed, the frail Qin Xi bit her lip and nodded.

Qin Nan also nodded in shock. “Chief Chu told me my sister had intestinal cancer. Later he said one kidney was infected too, so they removed part of her intestine and took out a kidney.”

“All her organs are normal. There is no malignancy in her body at all!”

“Instead, her body has accumulated far too many toxins. It was caused by long-term medication!”

“Her yin and yang are already completely out of balance, and her life force has been ruined, but not by cancer cells. It was all destroyed by the various drugs she was given!”

Ye Tiansi walked to Qin Xi and was just about to begin treatment when Chu Feng rushed forward.

“She’s my patient. I won’t allow you to treat her!” Chu Feng shoved Ye Tiansi roughly.

With a crisp crack, Ye Tiansi struck Chu Feng across the face, sending blood streaming from his nose.

Roaring in rage, Chu Feng tried to strike back, but Ye Tiansi drove a fist into his abdomen.

“Ah!”

Chu Feng doubled over like a shrimp and collapsed to the floor.

Ye Tiansi stepped on his back and pinned him firmly to the ground.

“Don’t be afraid. Hold out your hand.”

Standing on Chu Feng, Ye Tiansi spoke to Qin Xi with easy calm.

Qin Xi’s eyes were like a frightened fawn’s, timid and uncertain, but she still gathered her courage and extended her hand.

Her fingers were long, but very pale and thin.

“It’ll hurt. Can you bear it?”

Ye Tiansi asked softly.

Looking at how gaunt she was, he felt a pang of pity. He could not imagine how much suffering this poor girl had endured in the hospital over the past two years.

Qin Xi bit her lip. Though her voice was weak, it was steady. “I can!”

Ye Tiansi took out ten silver needles and, with astonishing speed, pierced the tips of all ten of Qin Xi’s fingers.

What surprised him somewhat was that Qin Xi gritted her teeth and did not let out even the slightest sound.

Only her face grew even paler.

Ye Tiansi took out a Spirit Origin Pill for Qin Xi to swallow, then pressed a palm against her back.

Drip.

Drip.

Black blood kept falling from the ten silver needles.

Chu Feng tried to get up from the floor, but Ye Tiansi’s foot held him down so firmly that he could not move at all.

Furious, he shouted abuse. “You brat, let me go at once!”

“Listen to me! I’m the hospital’s top orthopedic chief physician! My father-in-law in Cloud City is even more powerful than anyone you can imagine!”

“If you dare humiliate me like this, I’ll make sure you regret it!”

Ye Tiansi stepped onto Chu Feng’s face. “Why so much useless talk?”

Chu Feng’s face met the floor with intimate force; blood seeped from his eye sockets, the corners of his mouth, and his nostrils.

His whole face was a mess.

“What are you standing there for? Why aren’t you calling Dean Jin to save me?” Chu Feng roared in rage from the floor.

Soon, Dean Jin arrived in a hurry with several people.

Only then did Ye Tiansi release Chu Feng.

Spitting out a mouthful of bloody saliva, Chu Feng glared viciously at Ye Tiansi and roared, “You little bastard, how dare you hurt me like this? I’ll definitely make you—”

Before he could finish the threat, Ye Tiansi slapped him again, and Chu Feng flew off with a miserable scream.

Ye Tiansi acted right in front of Jin Dafang, utterly without mercy.

Chu Feng crashed heavily against the wall and struck his forehead, splitting it open.

Blood poured down from his brow in a torrent.

Chu Feng clutched his face and screamed.

“Mr. Ye, I’ve actually been having people look for you everywhere. I never expected you’d be here.”

“Chu Feng is the chief orthopedic physician at our Green City Hospital. May I ask why Mr. Ye is so angry? Why did you beat him like this?” Jin Dafang asked cautiously.

“You want to know why?”

Ye Tiansi spoke indifferently and motioned toward the Qin sisters.

Qin Nan immediately helped her sister, Qin Xi, forward and handed Dean Jin all the diagnostic reports as well as Qin Xi’s critical-condition notice, explaining the whole sequence of events.

Qin Nan also said bitterly, “My sister clearly did not have cancer, and there was no malignancy, yet Chu Feng deceived us and treated her for cancer for more than a year!”

“She underwent chemotherapy many times. Every day he gave my sister expensive imported medicine, turning her into something barely human!”

“He almost killed my sister, and now he wants to dump all the responsibility and kick us out of the hospital!”

“If it weren’t for Brother Ye’s superb medical skill, if he hadn’t just cured my sister, she might already be dead now!”

Jin Dafang looked at Qin Xi’s diagnosis and critical-condition notice and remained silent for a moment before turning to Chu Feng. “Chief Chu, is what they’re saying true?”

Chu Feng suppressed the panic in his eyes and said dismissively, “Dean Jin, you’re actually listening to these common folk?”

“I’m the hospital’s chief orthopedic physician, first among the top ten outstanding doctors in Cloud City. There are countless patients seeking me out!”

“This patient suddenly recovered because of my merit, of course.”

“It was the result of my careful treatment and focused medication over the past year and more! What does it have to do with this man surnamed Ye?”

Qin Nan flew into a rage. “Chu Feng, you’re utterly shameless!”

Qin Xi could not hold back either. Her frail body trembled with anger. “Chu Feng, you cut away my intestine! You removed my kidney! You almost treated me to death!”

“It was Brother Ye who saved me. What does that have to do with you?”

Ye Tiansi narrowed his eyes slightly. He had seen shameless people before, but this was the first time he had encountered someone so utterly devoid of shame as Chu Feng.

Jin Dafang’s face darkened, and he ordered a doctor to take Qin Xi’s blood sample for testing.
