She headed toward the ladies’ room. The process for women was always more troublesome than for men. As she approached, she found, as expected, a long queue forming outside the bathroom.

Shi Runrun sensed the chill behind her, felt uneasy, and glanced back. She saw nothing unusual, no familiar faces. Assuming it was just her imagination, she turned forward and continued waiting.

She placed her bag of medicine on the edge of the sink outside and went into the restroom.

People came and went, washing their hands, but no one paid attention to the bag in the corner, nor imagined someone would tamper with it to frame another.
